Contemporary "Mixed-Race Boy" shows youthful joy
Steve and Susan Craig, pastors and founders of His Hands Church in Woodstock, Georgia (Atlanta area), asked Tom to create five new lifesize bronze sculptures of adults and children to be placed along the entry sidewalk as though walking towards Tom's existing life-size statue of
Jesus entitled "Welcoming Christ."
They wanted these sculptures placed at the new church building, which was a former Kmart being converted to accommodate their growing congregation. They
also wanted to reflect the diverse community they serve who we are all welcome in the house of the Lord.
This sculpture is of a modern "Mixed-Race Boy"
is running just ahead of his "African American Father," both of whom are running up the sidewalk to
Jesus at the entrance of the church.
Tom loves the challenge of coming up with dynamic sculptures to capture
your unique vision - call to discuss how to commission a sculpture.
Placed in the scene "Welcome the People" and many elements of the scene have been placed around the country in Ohio, New Jersey, Georgia, Arizona and Canada, with existing and new sculptures commissioned for the various monumental bronze statues of Jesus and children.
